How to Make It
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the sliced apples, sugar, and cinnamon, stirring until the apples are well coated and start to soften.
In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, milk, egg, and vanilla until just combined.
Pour the batter over the caramelized apples in the skillet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve
Spoon out generous portions while it’s still warm, letting the juices pool around the cake. This dish is best enjoyed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
