Ever had one of those evenings where you just want to throw everything in a pan and call it dinner? That was me last week. I was exhausted after a long day, and the thought of cooking felt like climbing Mount Everest. So, I grabbed some chicken, broccoli, and cheese from the fridge and decided to wing it.
I tossed everything together, but in my haste, I forgot to season the chicken! Can you imagine? Thankfully, I had a cheesy sauce to slather on top, which saved the day. The result was a gooey, melty, comforting bake that hit the spot.
Ingredients
4 boneless chicken breasts.
2 cups broccoli florets.
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
1 cup cream of chicken soup.
1 teaspoon garlic powder.
Salt and pepper to taste.
1 tablespoon olive oil.
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional).
How to Make It
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large oven-safe pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the chicken breasts and cook until they are browned on both sides.
Stir in the broccoli and garlic powder, mixing well.
Pour the cream of chicken soup over the chicken and broccoli, then sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
If using, top with breadcrumbs for a crispy finish.
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
Serve
Enjoy straight from the pan for a cozy, comforting meal.
