You know those days when you just want to throw something together and call it dinner? That was me last night. I had chicken in the fridge, a head of broccoli that was about to turn, and a serious craving for something cheesy. I thought, ‘How hard can it be?’ Well, I almost burned the chicken because I got a little distracted scrolling through my phone!
But I pulled it off! This Cheesy One-Pan Chicken and Broccoli is so simple, it’s almost embarrassing. All you need is one pan, a handful of ingredients, and about 30 minutes. The best part? The gooey cheese just makes everything feel like a warm hug.
Ingredients
2 chicken breasts.
1 head of broccoli.
1 cup shredded cheese.
1 tablespoon olive oil.
1 teaspoon garlic powder.
1 teaspoon onion powder.
Salt and pepper to taste.
1/2 cup chicken broth.
1 tablespoon butter.
1 teaspoon paprika.
How to Make It
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large oven-safe pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
Add the chicken to the pan and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
Once browned, remove the chicken and set it aside.
In the same pan, add the broccoli and chicken broth.
Place the chicken back in the pan on top of the broccoli.
Add butter and sprinkle cheese over everything.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
Serve
Serve it straight from the pan for a cozy dinner experience!
