After a long day at work, all I wanted was something warm and satisfying without spending hours in the kitchen. That’s when I remembered this creamy potato skillet recipe I had bookmarked ages ago. With just a few ingredients and one pan, it promised a hearty meal. As I sat down to eat, it felt like the comfort of an old, familiar sweater.
Ingredients
4 medium potatoes
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt
Black pepper
How to Make It
Peel and slice the potatoes thinly.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Layer the potatoes in the skillet.
Pour the heavy cream over the potatoes.
Sprinkle garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
Remove the lid and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan.
Cover and cook for another 10 minutes.
Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve
Scoop onto plates while warm, letting the cheese stretch with each serving, and enjoy it as a main dish or side.
